Dialup Service and Rates

We must have a signed application for Dialup Internet. You may print our application and fax it to us at 701-662-6444. Please review our Internet Policies and our General Information.

Dial Up Information:

Modem: A modem connects your computer to the telephone network to dial into the Internet. NDTC uses V.90 modems which connect up to 56K. Connect speeds will depend upon customer equipment, location, and other uncontrollable variables. NDTC recommends a hardware based modem.

Software: If you are running a Microsoft Operating System greater than Windows XP, you have all the tools needed to connect to the Internet. Internet support must be provided by a computer vendor or user for all other operating systems. NDTC will not maintain liability for end-user software distributed for use in Internet applications.

Setting Up: Your account will be activated and you will receive your welcome letter and setup software within 3 business days. If after that you still cannot log on to our service, please contact the help desk. You may not need the setup software if you know how to set up an account using the following information:

Your Login: This is the 3-15 character string that you chose when signing up for Internet services.

Your E-mail Address: This is your login followed by @ and then your domain name. Example: johndoe@gondtc.com

Your Domain Name: gondtc.com
Incoming Mail (POP3): mail.gondtc.com
Outgoing Mail (POP3): mail.gondtc.com
NNTP Server (news): news.gondt.com

Local Access Numbers

Passwords: All new Internet accounts begin with the "changeme" password. As a new Internet customer, you will log on the first time using your login name and the "changeme" password. You will then need to visit our password change tool to change the default password to one of personal significance to you. Passwords need to be 6-8 characters long. Use only letters and numbers. Passwords are case sensitive. An uppercase"T" is different than a lowercase "t"! Passwords take effect immediately! The next time you check your e-mail or dial in, you will need to use your new password. If you change your password and don't remember it, please call the help desk so they can reset it for you. Old passwords will not be given out, only reset to the default "changeme".

Away from Home? You can access your account by dialing 877.638.6382. The cost for this service is only 20 cents per minute and the charges are billed on your telephone bill.

Plan Change: You can change your plan from 15 hours per month to unlimited hours by visiting our Plan Change page.

Free Space: All gondtc.com e-mail accounts receive 10 meg of free web space to create your own personalized web site. This web space is not for commercial use.
